when on April 30th 2015 I had found and gained in few hours a job as ice-dealer in northern Germany, I was relieved that after two months of applications finally something good had happened. I was prepared to work hard and literally from the sunrise to sundown. my portable equipment was coming with me since I had to play in Berlin for the first time. the gig went well, and my working experience has been more formative than I expected, but it took the wrong direction. I'm still convinced that having a job is self-empowering for the human soul, no matter how demanding the profession might be; but arrogance, pushiness, disrespect added to 75 working-hours per week in a greedy environment are hard to bear.

so, after 8 weeks my "emigration" failed.

I was hoping to build a week-by-week repertoire of new tracks while abroad, a sound diary of sorts sketched on digital environments using old material, re-worked, pitched, stretched. I saved all the working files, but had no time to properly record the stuff during my precious and sparse days-off.

all the Emigration Loops were created abroad and embellished at home; the opening and closing tracks - and the bonus track "Endless Nostalgia of a Pastoral Choir" as well - have been created at home. this album has been conceived in Germany and it came to life back in Italy.
